For site owners
Gairė tells people when a web page they chose changes: a price, an item that is new or back in stock, a rule. If your site is one of those pages and you'd rather we didn't check it, tell us and we stop.
We don't copy your data or sell it. We tell one person that something on your page changed, and send them to your page.
What we read
- Only public pages: what anyone sees without signing in. We never sign in, fill in forms, buy, book or post.
- Only the pages people asked us to watch, one address at a time. We don't crawl your site.
- As often as the person chose: once a day, every 6 hours, every hour, or every 15 minutes at the most. At night (00:00–06:00 Vilnius time) only the 15-minute speed checks more often than every 2 hours.
- Where we can, we ask only whether the page has changed since our last visit.
How our visits look
To your site, our checks look like an ordinary browser's visits and carry no Gairė name, so you can't pick them out in your logs or block them by name. A few sites are loaded for us by a paid service, whose visits don't name Gairė either.
You don't need to recognise our visits to stop them: write to maksim@gaire.lt with your site's address, and we stop every watch on it.
What we show, and to whom
- What changed goes only to the person who watches the page: by text message, email or their own webhook.
- Our public track records show when we checked and what kind of change we found, not your content. Our home page shows a few items and prices from one watch of our own, as an example of what Gairė does.
- A change's own page is a private link sent to that person. It isn't listed anywhere or indexed by search engines.
How to ask us to stop
Write to maksim@gaire.lt from an address at your site's domain, or tell us how else we can see you speak for the site. Name the site, or the pages. You can also ask us to check less often instead of stopping.
We stop within 2 working days and confirm by email. Watches on your site are paused, not deleted. The people who had them are told the site asked. New watches on it are refused, on our site, through our API and through AI assistants.
If you change your mind, write again and we start again.
Outlets we may not watch
The content of some outlets may not be distributed in Lithuania, so we don't watch them, or their Telegram channels, for anyone:
- Russian state outlets under the EU's sanctions, such as RT and Sputnik (Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014, Article 2f and Annex XV);
- sites that Lithuania's Radio and Television Commission (RTK) has ordered blocked.
We refuse them on our site, through our API and through AI assistants. A watch already on one is paused, and the person who set it up is told why.
The list follows the EU's annex and RTK's decisions, and covers each site's subdomains. A new mirror of an outlet may be missing until we learn of it. If you think a site is on the list by mistake, write to maksim@gaire.lt.
